Comments
Comments: You really should have gone today. It was 6 degrees F at the trailhead, but with bright blue skies and NO WIND, today was the perfect day! There is enough snow on the path that snowshoes could be worn for the entire trip, but not really necessary until you get up higher where there is some drifting. If inclined, and don't mind deepish stuff occasionally, you could use micros the entire time. Because I was breaking in new boots and my dog and I are getting old, I didn't do the ridge, although the people I spoke to said it was easily passable. There is going to be some snow tonight/tomorrow, so things may change. I first hiked Mt Lafayette in 1968 and I never grow tired of this amazing mountain!
