I asked at the desk about ascending the trails and was told prior to 830 was ok. It seems as this hasn’t been consistent in earlier posts. It probably depends on who you talk to. Got passed by a ski patroller going up, 3 or 4 while descending. No hassles, but I got the names of the people at the desk just in case. Wildcat ridge was well packed by snowshoers, but I met 3 folks today with crampons or spikes, so the trail is now the typical chewed up, but still solid enough. Deep if you stray off it. Poles sunk down to nowhere on descents unless on the packed stuff. Beautiful blue sky sunny no wind conditions. |
