One decent crossing, creek was frozen on the surface but you could hear the water rushing underneath. Crossing on the snowy log with microspikes was uneventful. |

Lots of leaf and branch litter after this weekend's windstorm. One huge blow down near the end of Dicey's Mill but easy enough to go around |

No doggos today, didn't bring mine d/t weather forecast but would have been fine if you have a dog who can scramble. |

Absolutely gorgeous day in the mountains. We were prepared for the worst with a forecast of bitter wind chill but had many layers that never got pulled out. Use spikes to the Whiteface summit and then switched to snowshoes for Rollins Trail, probably doable with spikes, but the snowshoes saved some significant effort and frustration. The top 1/2 of Dicey's mill was well packed, the bottom had many 4" drifts. |
