The parking lot at the Tramway was nearly deserted and fully plowed. The packed snow underneath was just thick enough that my snowshoe spikes did not seem to hit the pavement beneath. |

Water crossings were so bridged as to be nearly undetectable. |

Don't bring a dog. It is too steep and there are drifts. |

| Comments: |
Although the lower bits might be doable in microspikes, there are plenty of places near the top where the going would be very rough if not for snowshoes. Parts of the lower bits have exposed rock, so butt-slide with care. As always, prepare for the weather accordingly. The wind is intense on the exposed slopes and the trees can only block so much elsewhere. |
