| Water Crossing Notes: |
The 3 bigger water crossings on the Brook Trail were just fine. I did have to pause and choose my path across, and one of the logs that is clearly being used to hop across is a little unsteady. No issues but do take care. |

| Comments: |
Working on redlining the Belknaps. I took Brook Trail up while my partners took Boulder Trail to the summit. For the first ~0.2 miles of Brook, I thought maybe I would bareboot, but the trail turned to thick ice and then became a packed down superhighway perfect for microspikes. Kept the spikes on for the ascent and then most of our descent down Jesus Valley. Didn't see anyone on Jesus Valley, but did see one set of footprints.
Snowshoes came along for a ride on the pack but there weren't any drifts deep enough to need them. |
