| Comments: |
The Black Pond Bushwhack seems off the regular route. Regular trails are in good shape, as is the Brutus Bushwhack. Some drifting at the summit. As with one of the recent trail reports, I overshot the summit. About as easy as it gets bagging Owl's Head today.
I bare-booted Lincoln Woods Trail. Microspikes to the base of the Brutus Bushwhack. Snowshoes to the summit and back to Lincoln Woods Trail.
I saw quite a few people on their way to Owl's Head, most with snowshoes. Cold today for sure, but the trails were well sheltered from the forecasted strong winds, except for the summit. |
