Comments: Very nice snowshoe track so I used them the whole time to make it easier on the up and preserve it. Still a little unconsolidated so if using only light traction you'll probably posthole here and there. A couple tracks diverge nearing the summit, the right-hand one is correct.

Not much else to add except a note on the infamous fish hatchery gate! I was out late and took the calculated risk and chanced it staying open. The gate stayed safely half buried in the snowbank upon my exit (6:30pm,) as it was on my entry and I was able to drive home freely. :) "The gate" does not appear to have been in much use recently, so I wouldn't worry about that 4pm "gate bewitching hour" too much.
