The two of us wore snowshoes the entire hike on Signal Ridge Tr, except barebooting the SRR road walk. We broke 3-4" of new snow on SRT, and deeper drifts along the exposed ridge walk. Didn't see anyone all day except towards the end we met two backpackers with pulks coming up the flats on SRT. The trail is packed well enough now with our traffic over the new snow, but it's still very loose and unconsolidated, especially on the steeps/climbs. Definitely, bring your snowshoes! |
