Comments
Comments: Trail not yet packed or set for light traction above Gem Pool. Not ideal for my Hillsound Pro's on Sorels. Marginal boot for kicking toe holds in the butt-slider polished snow; traction marginal on way down.
Recommend full crampons or rigid soled boots. Took snowshoes for naught today.
Turned around within a quarter mile of summit due to poor visibility and one of us being tired. Summit will be there next week.
