Hard packed snow with a few small spots of exposed ice. MICROspikes worked well. Snowshoes are not needed. Even off track surfaces were hard with no post holing.
The windows of the tower were frosted.
Nice conversations with other hikers today.
Westward views limited by clouds with clearer skies toward Maine. |
