Comments
Comments: I used snowshoes start to finish. There was an average of 3 to 4 inches of light powder with some deeper spots higher up. I was lucky enough to get first tracks today. The Engine Hill bushwhack runs higher than I have seen in the past. You miss out on some of the more scenic glades but after a short climb it runs nearly level and puts you on the Isolation Tr just below the last crossing. It's very efficient on the return with very little gain. I followed the track through the campsite to Davis Path which is where the majority of traffic has gone.
Limited views today and it was just me and a lone Gorby at the summit. I met 3 others heading up on my descent, all wearing snowshoes. You may get by with light traction for the first mile or so but you will want snowshoes after that. Lots of hidden holes and water just waiting to be discovered by barebooters. Excellent snowshoe track right now. Hopefully it stays that way.
