Comments
Comments: Nice hike to Mt Garfield. I used micros until 2400 ft and switched to snowshoes for duration of hike. At this point trail became choppy with unconsolated powder. While the track is well established I highly recommend snowshoes at upper elevations to continue to pack trail down. There was some minor postholing on the switchbacks and above as trail is still soft. It was nice briefly chatting with the two hikers as I was descending. This hike leaves Mt Carrigain to grid out January.
