| Comments: |
Most of the trail microspikes are probably the preferred traction until near the top- I wore snowshoes all the way up and about halfway down, but found that they were only useful once I reached the switchbacks. All that being said, there was a significant amount of snow on the trees today (watch your head!). A good wind could probably put down an inch or two of fresh snow just with what was on the trees- snowshoes may still be the optimal gear tomorrow. Some small postholes in the higher sections of the trail where the snow gets a little deeper and softer. |
