Comments
Comments: Very nice snowshoe track all the way. I started barebooting, put spikes on maybe a mile into the hike, and switched to snowshoes when the bushwack started. You can't really tell it's a bushwack, because it's so well packed and that's the only way that people were going. Minor drifts on Davis Path, and beautiful views from Isolation! I removed my snowshoes by the campsite/junction of Davis Path and Isolation Trail to run out but ended up post holing a little bit (maybe 10 times?). Base felt pretty solid in snowshoes, but was squishy in just spikes and I probably sunk down an inch or two on average. I recommend keeping snowshoes on until the flat part of Rocky Branch Trail where it becomes very well packed with a negligible amount of squish. I saw a group of 3 and 3 singles.
