| Comments: |
Trail had a shallow dusting of new snow atop a well-packed footway. Microspikes worked well with no effect on the surface but snowshoes, which we carried, would have been good, as well (esp. the televators). The final steep summit approach was mellow with sufficient packed packed snow on it and little ice.
Easy, scenic hike with Chris, Renee, Sarah and Michael. Woods and summit views were all that we could hope to encounter on a winter hike. Nice to chat with Steven (sp.?) and company, capable folks with whom we have much in common, including time on this earth. :) |
