Comments
Comments: Super weather for these three peaks. Starting at xcountry ski trail I was able to bareboot to the 2nd crossing on the Gale River Trail. Snowshoes were on for the duration of hike until *50 feet before wooden bridges leading to Little River Road*. The Trails leading up to Galehead were well broken with loose powder on top. The fun started on Twinway ascending South Twin and on as the trail I believe had only been broken out by two hikers on Sunday. There were long stretches of trail with only faint tracks if any and heavy drifting throughout with plenty of depth. This was definitely a challenge+.
Travel was similar over to N Twin but much easier although I meandered a bit in the col as trail again was completely drifted in various stretches. After the main crossing of river trail became much nicer and at intersection of The Firewardens trail The track was nicely packed thanks to Chef and company yesterday. Thanks!!
