We were first on trail this morning. Thanks to all those who did the real work yesterday. We had only a few inches of overnight snow to break. The trails are soft, so we wore snowshoes the entire time. Saw a lot of people later, some with snowshoes and others with microspikes.
We met this really nice guy and I told him that Sage was close to 500 peaks for her Grid, and that she was gridding out Flume today. He misunderstood and thought Sage was finishing her entire Grid today. He passed us and we saw messages in the snow later written for her "Congratulations!" That was so sweet, and we both thank this fellow tremendously, but we feel bad that there was a miscommunication. If all goes well, Sage (and Alex) will finish their Grids the first week of June. Sage was done with Flume today, not the whole Grid. But if you happen to read this, nice person we met, know that your kindness and well-wishes are appreciated. :) |
