Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Off Route 112 - not plowed. One car in all the way (she got stuck last night and spent the night in her car). When we arrived, a gentleman had pulled in - was stuck, helped pushed him out onto Route 112. He chose to do another hike. I backed in and off to the side to ensure the other car could get out. I got in and out without issue.

Comments
Comments: The report from yesterday didn't really match conditions for today. A couple inches of fresh snow higher up. Drifts between the peak were deep and snowshoes definitely helpful. A few microspikers out today - chopping up the trail with 2 who carried their snowshoes. Tough conditions on the steep sections leading up to Mount Osceola due to loose/unpacked snow. Some rocks exposed there as well. The bypass up the chimney is easy to follow and not as bad as some of the sections leading up to the first peak. There is plenty of snow out there and snowshoes are most helpful. You should wear them. Gypsy Hiker and I had a great time starting late -
