Two other cars in the Gilford Elementary lot when we started at 9:30, close to 10ish cars when we returned at noon. No school today (MLK day). |

Water crossing on Mt. Rowe Trail (just before junction with Yellow) is a 4-step hop. Nice snow/ice patches to hop on! |

There are a LOT of blazes on these trails--thank you to the trail crew! |

Saw one blue nanospike-type thing near the parking lot on a traffic cone. There is a multicolored headband behind the trail map kiosk. |

Microspikes the whole way! Only a handful of steps landed on bare ground. Snowshoes went for a ride on the pack today.
Mt. Rowe Trail is pretty smooth. We took Yellow Trail up, which is a bit more uneven/chunky/postholed--after the next good snowfall, snowshoes would fix this right up. |
