Comments
Comments: It was a spikes on, spikes off kind of day today. With the warmer temps, snow was balling under our spikes. The added traction was still needed in spots.

Took Blueberry Pasture Trail up. With yesterday’s rain, this trail had running and standing water. Snow was soft and ice was no longer firm - in a number of spots we had to use caution not to submerge our feet in water. Only a little more than a dusting of fresh snow fell overnight.

Main Trail (Blue) over to Mount Anna looked like it had only been travelled by one or two people before us. Spikes were sufficient, and there wasn’t enough snow depth for snowshoes.

Took Anna Goat Trail down with no issues. Spikes stayed on for about 3/4 of the Anna Goat Trail. Then took them off for the rest of the hike. Stage Road/Alton Mountain Road was a little icy hiking back to the parking lot.
