Comments
Comments: Snowshoes the whole way. They were not necessary on the first 1-2 miles of the Mt Garfield trail but preferred so as to build and maintain the trail corridor. snow depth increased from minimal to at least 12-15 inches higher up the ridge. And then probably more for the final .2 to the summit. snowshoe skiing and butt sledding down the steep .2 has created quite a snow chute but as the snow is powdery and dry I imagine there will be some drifting overnight.

My group of four and two others broke trail today and we saw five additional people on the trail.
