No issues on the way in. On the way out, around 11am, parking was overloaded with multiple vehicles parked in the well-marked "No Parking" areas. |

2 small stepovers on Gunstock Mtn both where it parallels the Winter Shortcut. One easy stepover on Piper Mtn just past the Carriage Rd trailhead.
Multiple people coming the other way went off trail rather than stay on the Brook Trail where it has very well marked switchbacks near the top of Gunstock. |

A little past halway through, we encountered 3 successive groups coming the other way, each with a dog. Shortly thereafter, we came upon multiple instances of fresh dog waste. |

While it had rained at lower elevations the previous day, there was fresh snow all along this hike. Very scenic! |
