Comments
Comments: The original plan was Cabot, that started and ended in flames with road conditions. So Cannon for Ms. Mix-A-Lot's winters it was! A different experience than last week. The rain really did a number on the snow pack on the trees. KRT is in great shape, you *could* make it with spikes only, but there is enough snow now to utilize televators - of which we did. The Cannon forecast page this morning noted they got 11" of fresh powder in the last 24 hours, that was a pretty wild exaggeration. I would estimate 6" - and thats being generous. Lots without snowshoes today, but over a dozen had them and utilized them. So the trail trough is wide enough. Noted several folks at about 1330 ascending in shorts and full crampons. God speed.
