Trail Maintenance Notes: Few steps overs, few duck unders. Only major issue was a tree across the junction of Airline cutoff and valley way. If descending, its between 2 boulders on a steep sections. Can only pass thru by sliding under without a back pack. The whole .2 cutoff trail was not broken out.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: One leashed dog, and a group with four pleasant dogs that were enjoying the outdoors.
Bugs: N/A
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nothing lost and nothing found
Comments: Never saw a clearer, calmer day for a winter hike in the presis! Spikes from start to finish. Airline for the ascent was well beaten down, but major ice flows changed the descent to valley way via the airline cutoff for the descent (trail maintenance note). Valley way had perfect hiking conditions, definitely the calm before the impending storm.
A dozen hikers thru out the day, one solo very nice and well prepared young lady, who travelled from VT to hike Adams.
