I took Valley Way because the trail seemed packed, it's a trail under the protection of trees and a trail I was very familiar with. Basically, I felt safe there. But coming in my approach to the summit, I had met the only two other hikers on the trail, and they had gone up Airline and told me that it was great. So I returned down Airline. And was blown away by the open views. Beautiful hike! |
