Great hike with a fellow Gridder today. Conditions were optimal and to echo other reports if the 🦉 is needed for January this is the time to hike it. Snowshoes stayed in the trunk. Micros start to finish. The current BP bushwhack track seems very meandering from the standard path but was well broken out and we followed although I felt like a lemming at a couple of points. The time was right there though 27 minutes. Brutus was well broken as well and we chose to follow the somewhat steeper route that cuts off a little earlier than traditional ascent. There was minor drifting towards the summit. It was nice chatting with the two hikers ascending one of which was finishing their 48 today. It was also nice chatting with a few others today on the way out. The trails overall today were quick travelling on and timing was about the same as summer. We crossed paths with 10 others enjoying this great day.
