 | Comments: |
Shallow, packed snow and occasional ice flows made spikes ideal on Valley Way. There is no significant ice above the hut on either mountain on the trails we used. We took spikes off for the Airline up Adams and left them off until back at the hut after climbing Madison, finding it much less tedious going among the rocks without them.
Great hike with Chris, Sarah and Michael on a comfortable day with lovely monochromatic views. |
