Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: rock steps
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: One old log on trail down low and 1 new blowdown up high which is easy to get over. Trail otherwise in summer shape, with the lower waterbars appearing to have been recently cleaned.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Great dog trail with soft footpath, gentle slopes, shade and some water. I'd still bring water for the upper section on a warm day; Pepper enjoyed a drink on top despite sippin and dippin down low.
Bugs
Bugs: No bug problem at all while hiking; black flies a bit of a pain on top when stopped.

Comments
Comments: This was another forecast driven hike due to its short hike time, lack of views and good footpath. No views on top today, but that's not much different than on a clear one. On the hike down we finally took the herd path to the top of the nearby clearcut and saw some low peaks close and higher ones away. I didn't think to identify the peaks at that time and now looking at a map I'm not so sure. We didn't see many hikers for the season, and those we did were mostly going to or from the hut. There was some spot sun on the hike down, but we drove home through some brief showers.
