Comments
Comments: Mid 20’s light flurries at start. Micros all day. Saw no one carrying or wearing shoes. Trail is well packed & solid. Some ice so traction is recommended. No wind until past Mizpa Cut-off. No views windy cold in clouds on Pierce. Same until out of trees, then sun out some blue sky. Spectacular views of Ike with low clouds over summit. Amazing views with clouds boiling up from below, just beautiful. Very winding on top, heading down was even worse. Cold, cloudy winds howling. Could bearly see carins. Only saw 2 people the rest of the day. Upper Edmunds a little chopped up with lots of blowing snow. Once descending trail is more firm. Long road walk but easy. Fantastic day to be out. Lots of people out on all trails that I passed on my drive in.
