Parked at the large lot off Rt. 2 instead of driving to the trailhead. First car in the lot, but many there in the afternoon upon our return. The lot is labeled with a small sign for “trailhead parking†and is not far on the right past the Irving gas station (diagonal from Starr King Road), if coming from 115A. |

One minor blowdown between Starr King and Waumbek that was easy to get over |

Found a Hestra glove and left it at the trailhead. Some other items there when we started, including a container. |

Quick and easy walk from the lot off Rt 2 to the trailhead. Trail was in great condition. Snowshoes went for a ride. Spikes the whole way. Only a few patches of exposed ice. Many folks out today! |
