Comments
Comments: Up-and-back to Mt Hight, I wore microspikes till the junction of Carter Dome Trail and Carter-Moriah Trail. The snow was a little too soft from here to the summit and there were bareboot divots and postholes in the drifts higher up so I smoothed it out with snowshoes both ascending and descending. Thanks to the hiker who previously broke out this section with snowshoes last week. A rather brisk wind at the summit. The postholes continued down the southern arm of the trail, but has not yet been broken out.
