| Comments: |
Windy but sunny day on the Osceolas! I used microspikes the whole time and didn’t always have great traction on some of the steep sections but my trekking poles helped me with stability. I brought crampons but never ended up using them. We made a side trip to the Greeley Ponds, which was less packed than the route up to the Osceolas but doable in microspikes. The chimney bypass was easy to ascend/descend and I guess now there’s even a bypass to the chimney bypass, so that part wasn’t nearly as sketchy as it could be. |
