Picked an easy peak for my first hike in 2021, which was needed to get back in shape for the winter hikes remaining. Bare booted up and wore Hillsounds down. Snowshoes went for a ride. The trail is well packed and too bony for shoes. Ike popped out of the clouds for a short bit, but otherwise no VFTT. One hiker passed me on the way up and was at the summit on arrival working on his 48 adventure. Also a young couple celebrating their first winter hike with a meal, chili, cooked at the summit. Great day out. |
