| Comments: |
We started with snowshoes, largely for the televators, but switched to spikes when it became too bony on the steeps. What snow there is is well-packed throughout and there is no need for snowshoes. The light snow falling all morning wasn't affecting the trail.
Franconia Ridge Trail to Haystack had been broken out in snowshoes by a couple this morning and a few people had been over to Flume, reporting some softer, deeper snow in spots along the way.
Lovely hike with Chris, enjoying the winter woods if not the views.
