Comments
Comments: There were 12-14 other hikers who had done trail since the snow in the early morning. Noticed 2 didn't have traction while still walking the road. Wondered if they made it to the top. Once on the trail it was evident that they had a pretty rough time coming down. Lots of butt slides, but none really looked intentional. At every spot they slipped on, the snow was robbed off of the inches of glare ice underneath. It makes the rock under the ice appear to be just a bit damp. Nope, inches of ice. Hillsounds didn't like the spots much at all. Rest of trail was awesome, not much snow, maybe 2-3 inches of crusty and powder at times. Hike safe, I would say wear some traction!
