 | Comments: |
Blue sky day, moderate temps, no wind. Ragged trail had none of the crowding that might have been elsewhere. Most of the trail has patchy dry ground alternating with crusty snow and ice which were best managed with microspikes (recommend rock spikes because of variable ground). This was a nice diversion, shorter drive, new objective for us. Upper half of trail has areas made a little demanding due to ice.
Views from the top o the chairlift easily ID'd Moosilauke, Franconia ridge, distant Mt W, and in between.
