The trail has an inch of snow on top of ice in many spots. I put spikes on about halfway up, but my husband barebooted all the way up. We both wore spikes coming down- lots of slippery places. Up top there was a little more snow- 2 additional inches or so. The ledges had snow and were not slippery. We also hit Popsy Spring which was difficult to follow in the snow and the Mascot Pond spur where someone was metal detecting. Didn't see anyone else all day, but there was a set of prints ahead of us that emerged from thr woods part way up. Beautiful day out! |
