 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
New parking area opposite the parking for Col Trail off NH 113 in Sandwich. Not sure if this will be regularly plowed in winter but was fine today, although a bit icy. |

 | Surface Conditions: |
Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Snow - Spring Snow, Snow/Ice - Small Patches |

 | Water Crossing Notes: |
The crossing of Eastman Brook is currently easily done on rocks. Might be a little tricky is water is really high. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
As this trail is brand new, the footbed needs to be fully established, but the route is well-blazed and still flagged from construction. Kiosk at the southern end, no signage at the northern end. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Sure. |
|
 | Bugs: |
Nope. |
|
 | Lost and Found: |
Nothing. |

Walked this one for the next WMG. This brand new trail, recently opened, makes a link in a long distance route between the Rattlesnakes and the Squam Range ridgeline. Fairly easy grades the whole way and there's a bit of climbing on the way back. It connects with Thompson Rd. 0.3 mi. west of the Doublehead parking area, but it's unclear if the official route of the trail follows the road. The 0.3 section is blazed, but the kiosk map shows the trail ending at the road.
Very minimal snow here today with lots of bare ground. I carried spikes but never needed them. |
