Comments
Comments: Walked this one for the next WMG. This brand new trail, recently opened, makes a link in a long distance route between the Rattlesnakes and the Squam Range ridgeline. Fairly easy grades the whole way and there's a bit of climbing on the way back. It connects with Thompson Rd. 0.3 mi. west of the Doublehead parking area, but it's unclear if the official route of the trail follows the road. The 0.3 section is blazed, but the kiosk map shows the trail ending at the road.

Very minimal snow here today with lots of bare ground. I carried spikes but never needed them.
