Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked on the side of Rt. 3 just after the turn for Haystack Rd. There was plenty of room to pull off since there aren’t any snowbanks now. 
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth, Ice - Breakable Crust, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Slush, Snow/Ice - Small Patches 
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Light Traction 
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: No crossings, which is one of the reasons why we chose this hike. That river was raging. 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Some blow downs on Fire Wardens trail, easily gone over or around. 
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Oakley the Aussie was out for a walk with his dad on Haystack Road. They were in a pickup truck with Tennessee plates.

Comments
Comments: It was a beautiful day to be out hiking. Other than the man walking his dog on Haystack Road, we only saw one other couple.
There’s minimal snow depth from start to finish. We wore hillsound spikes from the start of N. Twin trail until we returned to that same point.
