Nice day on Flume and Liberty today! We barebooted up to about 1 mile into the Osseo trail and then put spikes on, keeping them on the rest of the hike. In the higher elevations, there was a light covering of snow over ice but it was manageable in spikes. I would definitely recommend bringing a sharp pair of spikes for this hike just to be safe. We brought crampons just in case but they weren’t necessary. |
