Comments
Comments: A beautiful hike for sunrise on Mt Lafayette as well as a fun traverse across Franconia Ridge. Snow levels are low until Little Haystack and then depth increases a bit until LS intersection. Micros went on for the entire hike. Snowshoes were along for the ride. The toughest part of the hike was substantial blue ice descending from the LS Tentsite to the first water crossing and beyond. At lower levels there is water flow on trail as well. Winds were high from the start of the hike until Mt Truman when they subsided and temps increased. It was nice chatting briefly with several hikers I crossed paths with today.
