Recommended Equipment: Light Traction, Traction
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All easily rock hoppable but watch for ice on top of the rocks above the water line.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Bog boy had his saw and removed one small tree that was across pine bend before the wilderness boundary. There’s a large Christmas tree across the mount Tripyramid trail between north and middle peaks. Somebody who’s allowed to use an axe is welcome to hike up and remove it. Otherwise, trail is in great shape.

Bugs
Bugs: None :) we are in the best season for those of us who hate bugs.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nothing!

Comments
Comments: Winter may not be blessing us with deep snow but he’s trying to make up for it with cold temps today. Plenty of ice. We used our beater spikes for the hike in until we hit the junction with Scaur Ridge trail. There is only a heavy dusting of snow down low and some hard packed with hidden ice after the wilderness boundary.

We switched to our newer sharper spikes(Hillsounds) at Scaur ridge junction, they were sufficient but full crampons wouldn’t be overkill on the steep section leading up to north Tripyramid. We did see 2 fellas using them. Quiet day seeing only 6 others all day. We met one person, Claude who had ascended via Sabbaday and did not recommend it, he said the crossings were a bit challenging. Very cold with the winds along the ridge line too. A beautiful day today as long as you have your layers.
