Comments
Comments: Barebooted until the first big water crossings when the spikes went on. There is tons of ice underneath the powder, so snowshoes would be useless. Up high on Mt. Kinsman Trail and on Kinsman Ridge Trail full crampons would not be overkill. You’ll be fine if you have sharp spikes, but it’s good terrain to train on crampon use right now. The ice is blue, thick, and getting more firm.
