Comments
Comments: Previous trail reports are accurate. Winter conditions feel more like a late fall. Some snow, some ice, some mud and even some running water, and lots of slush down on the Bunnell Notch Trail. The Killkenny Ridge Trail has a semi-icy, semi-snowy monorail all the way to the summit. As winter hikes go, this one is pretty easy to accomplish. Spikes would be mandatory. You'll end up carrying your snowshoes. Even with the windy conditions, prepare to shed layers.
