| Water Crossing Notes: |
The first water crossing was high, but doable with some thinking ... The second water crossing was much dodgier. I had a clear line picked out. But, my 11-year old son who is a pretty fearless explorer did not want to cross it. He said it made him very nervous, so we turned back. |

| Comments: |
The trail up to the second water crossing was icy, but easily navigable with microspikes. It was only the second water crossing that was really challenging. If I had been hiking solo, I had a line picked out that probably would have gotten me across dry to dry-ish. My 11 year-old son was pretty freaked out by that water crossing (I don't blame him) and we turned around and headed up Willard for a short day. |
