Comments
Comments: The trail is wet but nothing that is unreasonable. There is some running/pooling water on trail. A few smaller stream crossings. Waterproof boots are required. A few icy scrambles that were more mentally intimidating than actually difficult. Traction was great with microspikes and non-existent without. Snowshoes are not advised. There just isn't enough snow and too many rocks. We hiked in Ethan Pond without spikes but needed them on the downhill. (a friend removed them and tumbled) Willey range requires them both ways. The Ladders have a light dusting of snow. I usually don't mind ladders but the transition from one to the next is interesting in winter with spikes. There is no actual landing, just a board. Very manageable but I wished for something to hold onto.
