Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Piper (Golden Retriever) did fine and Cooper (Sheltie) just needed a boost up the short steep rock approaching the summit. Another dog got scared trying that steep pitch so she didn’t submit. If your dog is used to climbing should be okay. The ledges going to the summit had some areas free of ice.

Comments
Comments: Nice hike with the dogs. Mostly hard ice on the trails so used light traction (Hillsound Trail Crampon Ultra). On the upper pitch and ledges I put on Hillsound Trail Crampon Pro but some hikers used microspikes and others I saw used full mountaineering champions. All did okay.
We need snow!!
