Comments
Comments: Starting at the Atwood cellar hole off Sandwich Notch Road, I bushwhacked ENE through mostly open woods until I reached the summit of Black Mountain 2732’. On the summit cone, I found two fairly large cairns spaced about 50’ apart: one is next to a USFS bearing tree, the other is closer to the south-facing view ledge (from which there are excellent views). I took a different route back to the starting point, following the wilderness boundary for much of the time.
