Comments
Comments: Snowshoes are definitely not needed here at this time. The entire trail is well packed and solid. The lower third is a mixed bag of snow, slush, leaves, rocks, roots, mud and water. After that the surface gradually improves and along the ridge between the peaks is in excellent condition. You could bare boot this whole thing, but I wore spikes and that was fine. Some boot tracks continued north along Kilkenny Ridge Trail, but nothing that I would call broken out.

Zero views today as the peaks remained in the clouds, but that's ok. Pretty busy on this route, there was lots of stepping aside to pass.
