Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parking lot was very well plowed, not too icy. I think we were the fifth car at 7:30AM.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Light Traction
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Except for one minor brook crossing, this was the Osseo Trail was the one to take after all the heavy rain from the day before.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: 4 or 5 blows. Most are between 2300-2600 feet. We grabbed our hand saw and took care of the small downed tree with lots of branches sticking out and another that was hanging in the middle of the trail. The others are much larger and a chainsaw would be needed. All are fairly easy step-overs.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Did not see any dogs on Osseo or the summit today.

Comments
Comments: Nice day out. Lincoln Woods Trail is in great shape and very compacted. We encountered only 4 other hikers today. We had the summit all to ourselves! We bare-booted until we were on the section of trail high above Osseo brook where put on our spikes and kept them on. Spikes were great and worked well on the many wooden steps. The steps were hard packed snow/ice.
